If you're currently evaluating which type is better, battery powered, electric or both.

Nine times out of ten - it is better to have an electric pump with a battery operated component.  As you know, once your electricity goes out, and it will at one time or another, your electric sump pump will not work putting your house at risk for damage. On the same token, an electric sump pump with a battery powered component will work just fine. Therefore, you won't have to worry about your sump pump not working during natural calamities like floods and storms and yes, the very popular power failure! With an electric sump pump with a battery powered component, your pump will use  electricity in normal circumstances and when there is no electric power, the machine can automatically switch to battery which is an amazing feature.

Do not ignore the importance of the sump pump for your house and basements and make sure you get one as soon as possible sot hat you can prevent basement flooding and have peace of mind.
